Last Tuesday, SI Tenby and District held their annual handover dinner at the Giltar Hotel. President Elanor Sanderson was delighted to pass on the role to Dr. Anne Kelly, who is also the club's programme action officer. SI Tenby was also pleased to welcome Louise Bradley, president of Tenby Ladies Circle, Mary-Lou Clewett, president of Tenby Tangent, and Jan Griffitths, president of Tenby Inner Wheel, as their guests at the dinner. Members and guests enjoyed a delicious meal in the Giltar's graceful dining room with its wonderful views of the South Beach and Caldey Island. Afterwards, president Elanor briefly reflected on her year of office and recalled some of the more entertaining events, such as the Tenby Male Choir Concert in aid of Ty Hafan, the Festival of Puddings, the Soup and Sonnets Lunch and the many coffee mornings, all of which raised considerable amounts for both local and national charities. Most importantly, she paid tribute to the hard work undertaken by all members, notably through programme action, and their continued campaign to raise awareness of modern-day slavery and FGM. She then wished president Anne every success in the club's diamond year. Thanks, as always, are extended to Patrick, Malcolm and their staff at the Giltar Hotel for making the evening such a pleasant event. SI Tenby meets every first Tuesday of the month at the Giltar.
