EVERY Mystery Has Its Keeper – Will you be the one to uncover it? The Priestess Stones by Pembrokeshire author Clive Ousley has recently been published.
In the new novel, three storylines weave around each other; an archaeological search, a metal detectorist’s discovery and an 18th century mystery.
Matt Bradley is addicted to his new metal detecting hobby. He searches every day for months until when sheltering from rain in woodland, he finds something very old and valuable. But this artefact has a secret history that causes nothing but trouble.
In a hidden compartment in his antique Welsh dresser, Dave Dorsett finds a stained but detailed illustration of a stone circle surrounded by 18th century Latin text. He and his archaeologist daughter Amber start researching the possibility that somewhere in the dense woodland, the remains of a circle still exist.
As Dave and Amber continue their research, the tragic story of an 18th century cult worshipping at the stones unfolds… and they must find the circle before nighthawkers loot the site, and before anyone else is murdered.
When he’s not writing, Clive enjoys painting and creating artwork inspired by the worlds he imagines. When he has time on top of all this, he walks the Pembrokeshire countryside and coast with his partner and dogs.
In fact, Clive has worn many hats over the years, from working in printing and horticultural research to running a car-parts warehouse. He has also exhibited his paintings in prestigious galleries and illustrated for landmarks such as the Natural History Museum and Westminster Abbey. These days, his passion is storytelling. He is the author of The Priestess Stones and its upcoming sequel Four Oak Shrine, along with several sci-fi and reincarnation novels.
The Priestess Stones is available in hardback, paperback and Kindle formats. To find out more, visit cliveousley.com .
