In support of the Stand up to Cancer campaign for 2022 a massive donation of £2,410 has been gratefully received for the Tenby Cancer Research shop, from Dr Stephen Vincent Davies, who recently held a plant sale in memory of his late wife Lynne.
Dr Davies’ wife was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in the autumn of 2019. She sadly passed away at the end of March this year.
Both Dr Davies and his wife ran a charity stall from their garden wall for a few years, with the help of their friends Liz and Stuart Beresford of Llangwm.
During Lynne’s illness she took lots of cuttings and grew the plants for the spring and summer sales that were held.
“Cancer Research Tenby were delighted to receive an overwhelming donation from Dr Davies,” said assistant manager of the shop in Tudor Square Sally Turner, who is pictured receiving the cheque from Dr Davies.
