Tenby’s ‘Mayor-Making’ will be held next week with current Mayor, Cllr Dai Morgan set to fill the role for the third successive year, and a new Deputy Mayor to be installed for the seaside town.
Tenby Town Council’s Annual General Meeting and Mayor Making ceremony will take place on Friday, May 9 at the Mayor’s Parlour and De Valence Pavilion.
Proceedings will confirm the election of the Mayor for the year 2025-26, with a ‘declaration of acceptance of office.
Mayor, Cllr Morgan will appoint Melanie Lewis to be his Mayoress again; while Cllr Tom Sloan looks set to be installed as Deputy Mayor [taking over from Cllr Charles Dale] with Daniella Sloan set to be appointed Deputy Mayoress.

The roles of Sergeant at Arms [Spike Abbott]; Sergeant at Mace [Denise Cousins]; and Town Crier [Erin Morgan] will also be confirmed at the ceremony.
The Mayor will appoint Rev Steven Brett as Mayor’s Chaplain; with representatives from the Sea Cadets, Air Cadets and Police Cadets to serve as Mayor’s Cadets for 2025-26.
