Not in My Neighbourhood Week focused in and around the Tenby police section on Wednesday. The roadshow at Saundersfoot Harbour was well- attended not only by residents, but also visitors to the town.

The Bobby Van, which fits locks and security devices free of charge for vulnerable people, again proved popular and received over 35 referrals. A member of the public also handed in a stray dog to officers at the roadshow and the animal was given to the dog warden who was patrolling the area as part of the campaign. Residents in New Hedges, Tenby, Penally, Manorbier and Narberth were visited by members of neighbourhood policing teams. Clean-up activity also took place - the Prince's Trust have been working hard all week on the Jubilee play area in Tenby. They have now repainted the benches and given the play equipment an undercoat and hope to finish the project tomorrow. Other activities throughout the day included Clr. David Simpson, cabinet member for housing and community safety, helping to repaint a bus shelter in The Glebe and soldiers repainting the underpass in Kilgetty which was previously covered in graffiti. Traffic wardens were on patrol throughout the area, in Narberth, Tenby, Saundersfoot and Kilgetty and issued 40 fixed penalty notices and seven warning letters. Fifteen pupils' lunch passes were checked by an education officer and a PCSO at Greenhill School. Two cars were seized from their drivers who had no insurance and the offenders were reported. Fourteen vehicles were clamped in Tenby and Narberth by the DVLA. Meanwhile, an arrest was made following a referral from PCSOs on patrol in Tenby. Throughout the week, enforcement activity has also been taking place, with Misuse of Drugs Act warrants being executed throughout Pembrokeshire. Cannabis, amphetamine and firearms have been recovered. Sally Thompson, of Pembrokeshire Community Safety Partnership, said: "We are now halfway through Not in My Neighbourhood Week and the activity so far has been well received by residents. "We are demonstrating the good work carried out by agencies on a day to day basis in order to show what happens when we all work together with the communities."
