The Risca band of the Salvation Army visited Tenby on Saturday as guests of the local corps. The band played to crowds in the gardens of St. Mary's Church and afterwards on the harbourside. In the evening, the band gave a gospel concert to a large congregation in St Mary's Church. Their playing and singing was of a high standard and gave a clear message about the Christianity which is the basis of their music making. This was an enjoyable evening much appreciated by all who heard them. Sunday meetings were led by Majors Denise and Martyn Clements and visitors were welcomed both morning and evening. Activities during the coming week include the regular Catherine's Coffee House on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 10 am until 12 noon, and the Over Sixties group on Friday at 2 pm. On Saturday is an additional coffee morning from 10.30 am to raise funds for the Salvation Army Emergency Fund. This will include a cake stall and other stalls. Sunday services in the hall in Upper Park Road are at 10.30 am and 6 pm and a warm welcome is given to everyone.
