Darts

The club championship took place last Friday. All matches were keenly contested, with the final being decided between Bob Wilcox and Rolly Squibbs.

Both players scored very well, but it was Bob who got that final double. So we have a new champion - well done Bob!

Back to league duties this evening when we are at home to Cresselly Cricket Club. In Terry Evans's absence, vice-captain, Colin Parmenter, will have the unenviable task of team selection. We wait in eager anticipation.

Scalextric Evening

A good turnout at the Scalextric evening meant that several heats were required before the final was played out by some very keen 'motorists'. A gruelling race of 15 minutes duration eventually turned up a winner. Rear-commodore, Mark Brace, held his nerve against stern opposition to take the championship. Well done Mark. Also, many thanks to the Dashfield family for co-ordinating the event.

Jam Evening

As usual, the monthly jam session proved a great success, with musicians from far and wide participating. The next session is scheduled for Wednesday, February 18. Don't miss it!

A social calendar is almost ready. It will be available as soon as some dates are confirmed. Watch this space.

Club Openings

The opening hours have reverted to Friday and Saturday evenings, with the occasional function thrown in. Any time variation will be published in advance. On a procedural note, would members please have their membership cards to hand as temporary bar staff may not know the identity of all our members?
