Last Wednesday saw the return of the divine GP14 which will delight its plethora of fans nationwide. The usual large turnout enjoyed the demanding conditions which saw Daniel Jackson dominate in his RS700. The divine GP14 and Mike Stace's Redwing had a private tussle initially before parting company on the beat.

The final 1-2-3 was: 1. Daniel Jackson in a RS700; 2. Mike Stace and Deanna Morton in a Redwing; 3. Terry Evans and Daniel Evans in the divine GP14.

What a result for the GP14. Celebrations will continue for weeks!

As well as racing, the large turnout of trainees were put through their paces by Blake Shaw and Mark Dashfield.

Sunday's conditions were such that the usual fleet of dinghies ventured out only to return to the safety of the harbour as the wind increased to force 5 gusting 6.

A cruisers race also took place on Sunday morning, with the strong conditions suiting the Centaur of Blake Shaw, who crossed the line ahead of the fleet.

The final 1-2-3 was: 1. Blake Shaw in Slipstream crewed by Terry Evans and John Moore; 2 John Griffiths in Tejeda crewed by Jeff Powell; 3. Steve Lewis in Aries crewed by Rolly Squibbs and Peter Hicks.

Final cruiser race of the season will be on Sunday as per racing calendar.
