Tree removal works taking place this month will see vehicle restrictions on a Tenby road.
St Johns Hill, Tenby – from its junction with The Norton (west to a point near the property known as no.1 St Johns Hill) will have a temporary road closure in place for three days, from Monday, October 26, between 9am and 3pm.
The One Way Order affecting St Johns Hill will be temporarily suspended for the duration of the works to enable limited two way traffic flow to properties where practicable.
The alternative route for traffic will be via The Norton, Narberth Road, A4218 Broadwell Hayes/ Maudlins and The Green,
Emergency vehicle access will be maintained where practicable. Pedestrian access will be maintained.
County councillor for Tenby’s North Ward, Cllr Michael Williams has requested that the works take place, in that location after a Pembrokeshire County Council arborist was asked to look at areas where maintenance management of trees in the seaside town was needed, especially in areas where street lamps are being covered up.
“Hopefully the area above Gas Lane leading up Narberth Road, upper entrance to Lady Park and the area between Harries Street and the multi-storey car park can be considered too,” said Cllr Williams
“I’ve also asked that trees at the plantation at The Green be managed.”
