Tenby RNLI all-weather lifeboat Haydn Miller was launched for the second time on Monday at 8.40 pm after a report from the owner of the 20-foot motor vessel Event Horizon that he had suffered engine failure in choppy seas half-a-mile east of Lydstep whilst returning from a fishing trip with his daughter.

The lifeboat was soon on scene and passed a tow to the vessel before towing it the short distance to its mooring in Lydstep Bay.

After making sure the gentleman and his daughter got safely ashore in their dinghy - where they were met by coastguards - the lifeboat returned to station.
