While they had no objection to a plan to build a three-storey, four-bedroomed dwelling on land adjacent to Belmont Court, Tenby town councillors expressed concern last week that the site was close to a group of copper beech trees.

Clr. Trevor Hallett commented that while the trees may not be a problem for the application by Newlan Estates at the present time, they could be in the future as they grew.

He suggested that the applicants be asked to move the application site back approximately two metres to allow the trees some growth area.

Among other planning applications considered for recommendation to the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority last week were the following:

Pembrokeshire County Council, County Hall, Haverfordwest - Erection of temporary classrooms for teaching purposes at Tenby JMCP School, Heywood Lane (approval).

Mr. and Mrs. N. Griffiths, 89 Upper Hill Park, Tenby - Proposed bay window (approval).

Pembrokeshire County Council, Area Maintenance Unit, Stockwell Road, Pembroke Dock - Lopping and/or topping of sycamore in grounds of Tenby multi-storey car park to rear of 28 Trafalgar Road (approval).

Marion Stone, Heywood Lodge Hotel, Heywood Lane, Tenby - Porch and internal alterations (no objections).

Atlantic Hotel Ltd., The Esplanade, Tenby - Minor alterations to previously approved elevations at South Beach Hotel, The Esplanade, Tenby (no objections).
