Tenby councillors have given their support to the campaign to keep the Milford Haven coastguard station open, following proposals by the government to close the facility.

Discussing the matter at Tuesday night's meeting of the town council, Clr. Mrs Sue Lane said that she would like to see the Mayor draft a "strong letter of support" to save the station.

"It's vital that the coastguard facility is retained" added Clr. Trevor Hallett.
