Sir,
My family and I have just returned home from a nine-day holiday in Tenby... and it seems like I never left.
We make the five-hour drive every year, and have done for the past six years and usually stay in one of the lovely properties let by FBM. This year we stayed in a lovely property in Culver Park, ideal for both beaches and town.
My wife and I married in Tenby four years ago at the Fourcroft and have often spoken about relocating to Tenby... but this year things seemed even better.
One day when the weather turned wet, we were forced to explore the facilities in Tenby for such situations. By chance, we came across a bright and vibrant children's playcentre, which I am sure was not present the previous year... it was called 'The Playroom'. I have to admit I thought it may have catered more for local families etc., but I could not have been more wrong; we were greeted by a cheerful and friendly lady called Nikki, whom I later discovered was the owner.
She made us feel so welcome; it was like we were regulars and we were made to feel right at home the moment we walked in the door. The selection of toys and games provided enabled my son to be stimulated in every way imaginable; everything was bright, colourful and seemed brand new. A lot of thought had obviously gone into the 'setting up' of this centre, and it showed in every detail.
My son happily played for a couple of hours, before he wore himself out and we had to leave. I can honestly say that having such a facility in the heart of Tenby was a 'God send'. Rather than the usual full-on activity centres, this gave a bright, relaxing and enjoyable alternative to the normal escapes on a rainy day in Wales.
The Playroom must be a 'breath of fresh air' for Tenby. I would not only recommend it to visiting families with younger children, but also any local families who may not have discovered this hidden gem.
I know for sure that if one day in the near future my family and I do relocate to Tenby, we would be regular customers at the Playroom.
See you again next year!
