On Thursday, March 2, Tenby Museum and Art Gallery will once again be celebrating the internationally renowned World Book Day, now in its 20th year.
As part of the celebration of books, volunteer Vicky Tomlinson will be using Frederick Walker’s herbarium collection as a basis for a fascinating insight into 19th century books on natural sciences. There will be a superb selection of books from the museum’s vast reference library on show, complete with beautiful bookplates. Vicky will also use the herbarium as a guide to plants that can still be seen on Castle Hill.
There will also be a book sale of natural history books at the museum.
The event runs between 11 am and 2 pm. We hope to see you all there! If you would like more details, please contact the museum on (01834) 842809.
