Tributes have been paid to Pam Davies a well-known face around Tenby who has tragically passed away in the Maldives.

It is believed that Pam tragcially drowned whilst on holiday with her husband Martin over the past couple of days.

Pam was a cherished member of the Tenby Observer’s advertising department for some years, joining the paper after years working at the the Tourist Information Centre situated on the seaside town’s Park Road, alongside the multi-storey car park.

With a huge love of horses, Pam was also a stalwart of the agricultural scene around Pembrokeshire, serving as secretary of the Pembroke Town and Country Show most recently.

After leaving the Observer in 2024, she went to work at the office of Guy Thomas and Co estate agents and chartered surveryors in Pembroke.

Pam resided in Manorbier and along with her husband Martin, leaves to mourn their two sons Lloyd and Morgan.

Paul Evans content editor at the Tenby Observer said: “It is devastating news to hear, which has left us all in shock at the Observer.

“Pam was a lovely lady, and well-thought of amongst her colleagues at the Observer. She was always good company to be around and very easy to get on with.

“She was also very inquisitive, whilst her local knowledge was second to none, which stood her in good stead during her time with the Observer.

“We certainly enjoyed a few laughs with her in the office on Warren Street during her time at the paper.

“Our thoughts go out to Martin, Lloyd and Morgan during this terribly sad time.”

Regional editor Mick O'Reilly added: “Pam was a wonderful lady with whom we shared many laughs during her time as an Advertising Rep at the Tenby Observer.

"We both enjoyed travelling and shared memories of places we both visited.

"We also talked horses and dogs and she was a proud owner of both.

"I am truly saddened by her passing. We last spoke on 9th October last at the Community in Kindness Awards. A wonderful lady. I will miss her infectious laugh and glint of mischief in her eye," he added.
