A petition opposing proposals by the Hywel Dda Health Board to close the Minor Injuries Unit in Tenby, has been presented to the Welsh Assembly's Petitions Committee in Cardiff this week.
Tenby's Mayor, Clr. Trevor Hallett, and Deputy Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Caroline Thomas, who is also the secretary of the South East Pembrokeshire Community Health Network (SEPCHN), handed the petition to William Powell AM, chair of the Petitions Committee, and Russell George AM, Petitions Committee member, at the Senedd on Wednesday, along with the clerk to the town council, Andrew Davies.
The petition, which was launched jointly by Tenby Town Council and SEPCHN, has gathered more than 1,300 signatures in total, both offline and online.
