Choristers past and present were saddened at the death of Alun Rees, a longstanding chorister. Alun had been a member of the choir for over 30 years, during which time he was an invaluable member of the bass section, and a most effective choir marshal and choir chairman. His wit and friendly demeanour will be sorely missed, especially in the bass section. Alun was a true gentleman who was held in high esteem by all who knew him. Our thoughts are with Mair, Catrin, Nicola and families.

As mentioned in previous articles, our final concert takes place on Tuesday, November 11. The concert will be part of a remembrance day service at St. Mary's when the new window will be dedicated (more next week).

As stated on several occasions, we are entering our learning period, so this would be an excellent time for anyone who wishes to join the choir. To repeat myself, we are a very friendly 'bunch of lads' who enjoy singing and have a binding camaraderie which is often commented upon by those who meet us. So why not come along and see what it's all about. You won't regret it! In fact, we had a new recruit last week - why not join him? Rehearsals take place twice a week from 8 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Tenby and County Club on the Croft.

The choir has already accepted a number of wedding engagements, but is still prepared to consider further requests. Anyone interested in booking the choir for a wedding or a private function should contact secretary David Stewart-Walvin on 01834 844926.

There is also information about the choir on our website and a Facebook account (just do an internet search for Tenby Male Choir Facebook). You can also order a CD via our website and you can get more information on anything about the choir by contacting the chairman, Terry Evans, on 01834 844256, or the secretary on the number above.
