Sir,

I was wondering if your readers are aware that Tenby has effectively been left out of the list to be upgraded to Fibre under the WAG Superfast Wales scheme.

Haverfordwest, Pembroke, Johnston and Whitland have previously been announced and this week, the latest places announced are: Boncath, Crosswell, Crymych, Dinas Cross, Llwyndrain, Moylegrove, Newport.

The dates for rollout of Fibre to these areas run up until Spring 2015 which is when the scheme is due to end.

As Tenby hasn't been announced, and from what a BT engineer told me, Tenby will not be upgraded. This will leave us at a significant disadvantage as even the small villages in Pembrokeshire have been announced as being upgraded - so why not Tenby?

I think we need to get a message to WAG and Superfast Wales to let them know this is not on, especially as we are apparently aiming to become a digital town. What has happened to that by the way?

David Jones,

Tenby.
