Tenby Ladies have been drawn away to Bangor City in the second round of the national women's football competition on Sunday, February 10, kicking off at 2 pm.
This is a unique opportunity for Tenby to play Bangor City, who are in the top division of English women's football, in competitive conditions with a top referee and assistants.
The team should be well prepared through its training sessions each Wednesday under the supervision of player/coach Angela Nicholls and its involvement in the Pembrokeshire Indoor competition being held each Sunday at Pembroke Leisure Centre.
The players have entered the new year with some enthusiasm to regain the form that made them one of the league's outstanding teams last season.
Their convincing win against Goodwick in the first round before Christmas gave some indication of the potential of the Tenby squad, comprising both very experienced players and some exciting new prospects.
Transport will leave Tenby early in the morning of February 10, and any offers of sponsorship for the long trip to Bangor would be greatly appreciated. Further details are available from Tom Aston on 844034.
