The October Ladies Circle business meeting was held recently at South Beach Bar Grill where Circlers enjoyed a meal before commencing the meeting.
Chairman Kath welcomed all, with a warm welcome extended to honouree Julia.
A minute's silence was held in memory of past Circler, Claire Webb, who recently passed away.
Since the last meeting, Kath had been to Ocean Commotion with the children from Chernobyl. She had also attended the Qube for the summer dinner and had taken part in the civic ceremony.
Plans are well under way for this year's Santa Run, which will take place on December 9. Registration in the Church House from 11 am, with the race starting at mid-day. There is a pre-booking fee of £10 or £12 on the day. Open to ages 12 and over. This year, all money raised will be donated to Pembrokeshire Cancer Support Group in memory of Claire Webb.
Chairman Kath reported on her afternoon with the Chernobyl children at Ocean Commotion, where the children could not wait to get their shoes off and start climbing. Kath then gave each child a bar of Caldey chocolate. Thanks to Tenby Rotary Club for their help in funding this very worthwhile charity.
