September's meeting of Tenby Ladies Circle was held at the home of Circler Andrea. Chairman Jayne gave a warm welcome to her president, Debbie Davies, and honorary member, Michelle Grigg.

Mel reported on Tenby Round Table's 'Party by the Beach'and as she only remembered she was doing the report two hours before the meeting, she said it was hard to remember the 'summer' as it seemed so long ago. Mel said that the yellow pinnies had been in full flow and Brenda had spent her time with the St. John Ambulance paramedics. Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen had paid them a visit and an amazing total had been taken over both events.

Honorary member Julia gave the report on the carnival (read in her absence by Michelle). A typical summer day greeted the day of the carnival - pouring rain, but Circle spirits were not dampened. Bobby provided bacon butties to keep the girls going whilst getting paraphernalia ready for the float. Once on the float, girls started ducking the water bombs, then thought... why bother ducking when it's pouring! Wettest carnival yet, with Circle winning the charity shield and second place for best float.

Cath G. reported (writing it whilst minutes of the last meeting were being read!) on St. Mary's Flower Festival. She and Julie MC had stretched their artistic talents to the limit with a beautiful display.

Sian reported on the Chairman's Lunch. Jayne, Bobby, Sian and Ray had departed by train, with bits in between slightly forgotten! Bobby excelled at being the wine waiter for the day, with glasses full at all times. Taxi (aka Debs) collected them from the train station upon their return.

Kirsty reported on the Summer Dinner and it appears that she is now in charge of all reports as she remembers everything!

A new officer was appointed during the meetings - Mel will now hold the post of 'Health and Safety before all meetings'.

Forthcoming dates: September/October - Pandoras Box (tbc); October 9 - October meeting with bar meal (tbc); October 10 - Sleepover, New Hedges Village Hall, for Area Project; October 20 - Friendship Challenge; November 7 - Pandora's Box; November 19 - Talk by Deborah Griffiths, of 'Coal House'; December 13 - Christmas Dinner at The Mews; February/March - Auction of Promises (tbc).
