November's meeting of Tenby Ladies Circle was held at the home of chairman Julia. She gave a warm welcome to president Ruth, honorary members Averil and Debs and prospective members Sian and Lesley. Julia reported on the Inner Wheel Diamond Anniversary Dinner which she attended with Simon at the De Valence. It ws a very enjoyable evening with excellent entertainment. Brenda reported on the Marie Curie Driving Challenge. Brenda, Julia and Debs had a great day at Pembrey driving trucks, tractors, police cars, fire engines and 4 x 4s. Ruth sang her report on the Friendship Challenge 7 when the girls went to Carmarthen in Sharpie's bus. As well as quizzes, Sian went orange bobbing, Juls had her face painted, and there was riding on a broomstick - what a race, and so much fun! The Bonfire Night fireworks display at the rugby field was reported on by Debs. It had been a crisp cold night, which saw them cooking bacon rolls and Welsh cakes - a sell-out. Ruth was referred to as a scary monster in her furry hat? Forthcoming dates: Fashion Show - November 18, all final preparations under way. Girls meeting at the De Valence tonight from 4 - 6 pm, and again in the morning from 10 am. Area Rally, Bridgend - November 19, Sunday Lunch £10.50; Cardiff Weekend - November 24-26, menus to Jayne ASAP; Ladies Night - December 1 at the De Valence, reply to Andrew Davies by November 24; Winter Carnival - December 9, meeting at 4 pm; Christmas Dinner - December 16 at The Reef. Brenda has menus and it is open to guests. Carol singing - Wednesday, December 20, around 6 pm. Boxing Day Swim - the theme is Heroes and Villians and ideas will be discussed at the next meeting. Spa Day - January 6 at Celtic Haven. Area 46 and 43 Ball - January 27 at Stradey Park. Charity Golf Day and Casino Night - March 23, 2007. The Christmas meeting will be held at the home of Karen Evans on December 14 at 8 pm. Each member is asked to please bring a plate of food and a present to the value of £8.
