TENBY UNDER 15s nil

The scoreline at the end of last Sunday's game at Crymych did not reflect the tremendous effort, grit and determination shown by the Tenby Under 15s.

Although Crymych were the better team on the day, Tenby did not let their heads drop and kept battling right up to the final whistle.

Tenby forwards dominated the lineouts and in fact were strong in the scrums, but the Crymych backs closed down Tenby's backs very quickly, stopping them from moving the ball out wide to the wings.

The determination showed in some good strong tackling from David Duckworth and the fearless Martin Phillips, while captain Elliott Randall kept encouraging the boys to keep their heads up at all times.

Gregg Caine was kept at bay by the Crymych backs, only once or twice being unleashed for a run at them, as half-back Luke Brolan just couldn't move the ball out quickly enough before being closed down by the incoming backs.

Tenby showed tremendous spirit throughout the game and should be proud of their great effort.

The young Folly Farmers enjoyed a terrific game last Sunday, scoring 12 superb tries and playing an expansive game.

The boys played as a team, which was pleasing for the coaches, and they were always looking to move the ball away into spaces for the quicker boys to run into.

Stepping up were Jack and Gethin, who contributed well to team efforts.

Captain William, Harvey B and Ben were superb in defence, while Morgan and Jamie also have a knack of being in the right place.

Scrum-half Lori always made the right decision for the backs to link off him, while Harri exploited the gaps on numerous occasions, enabling Dom and Thomas to slice through with their pace. Dylan and Harvey J made inroads and were able to set up platforms for the young Swifts to run into.

Try scorers - Harri Williams 4, Dom Booth 3, Ben Millward, William Swales, Dylan Scotcher, Gethin Kelly, Thomas Harding Jones, Harvey Bowles.

This was an excellent team performance, but the boys know that with games coming thick and fast, with the first at home to Crymych this Sunday and then three away against Trimsaran, Pontarddulais, and Llangennech, they will have to continue playing to this standard.
