Tenby may have pulled out of the Wales in Bloom competition this year, but that did not deter enthusiastic entrants in the town's own 'In Bloom' event from once again producing some excellent displays. Judging in the annual competition took place on Wednesday and winners were as follows:
PRIVATE HOUSES
Best garden visible from the road: 1. Queens Quarry (Mrs. Gonzales); 2. Mrs. Valerie Church, 13 Oakridge Acres; highly commended - Lyn Kelly, 8 Southlands. Best forecourt without garden: 1. Mrs. Valerie Church, 13 Oakridge Acres; 2. Harry Luxton, 5 Rocky Park and Belinda Vickery, 3 Jubilee Cottages. Best display with window boxes/hanging baskets: 1. Mrs. Valerie Church, 13 Oakridge Acres; 2. Mr. W. Brace, 5 Heywood Court; highly commended - Mr. E. Porteous, 33 The Maudlins. Best garden not visible from the road: 1. Mr. W.
