The Chickens flew in for action again on Friday morning... but it was a 'Liver bird' who again pecked up the corn! Yes, the man in form for a second week running was Owen Monaghan, who again feathered his nest with a tidy £1.60 after swooping in with a more than useful 30 points. On this occasion he was out on his own, and in claiming top perch, he risked the wrath of club captain, Malcolm Arlott, who himself must have thought he was in with a chance of ruling the roost after returning a good card of 27 points. But it was not to be, as he had to settle for a tie in second place with big-hitting John Ball, who also strutted in with 27 points, with the pair pocketing £1 each for their valiant efforts. No twos this week, while par for the day was 25... far too many for the unlucky booby winner, Neil Dickinson, who found himself scratching around on a miserable 16 points. Just when will he get some shots back, that is the question being asked by all Chickens - well, one at least! Results: 1. Owen Monaghan 30 pts (£1.60); joint 2. John Ball and Malcolm Arlott 27 pts (£1); booby - Neil Dickinson (entry fee returned).
