PRIVATE share investors from all over Britain are turning Tenby into a busy financial centre.
A free, non-profit making share website, attracting two million hits a week, is run by best-selling author Malcolm Stacey from his home in Crackwell Street.
Called Sharecrazy.com it has rapidly become a popular forum for private investors in Wales and all over the world. It is particularly busy at the moment with many city experts expecting share prices to soar after the war in Iraq.
To keep dealing costs down for shareholders, the website also - very unusually - does a share dealing service at rock bottom commission rates.
Malcolm, who now spends most of his time giving help to investors on the site, has written a popular book on making money for shares, called 'Armchair Tycoon'.
Before this venture, Malcolm was for many years a presenter of BBC Radio Four's 'You and Yours' programme. He's also been a TV reporter, radio disc jockey and schools TV presenter.
He's written seven books, including 'Superscrooge' (on saving money), 'Winning Ways (how to be popular) and 'Attishoo' (the story of the common cold).
About three years ago, he gave up London life to run Sharecrazy.com from his sitting room in the middle of Tenby
He said: "I launched Sharecrazey.com for private shareholders because I realised they have absolutely nobody to represent them in the City.
"Much to my surprise, it has been hugely successful. We now have more viewers than many popular TV programmes.
"Thousands of people from all over the UK put on messages advising each other which shares to buy and voice their comments about the shoddy way private shareholders are treated in this country."
Anyone is very welcome to log on free to Sharecrazy.com for anything they need to know about stocks and shares.
