On Wednesday, April 6 over half the members attending wore Easter Bonnets, some decorated with fresh flowers picked from their garden. Easter eggs, rabbits, and chickens were to the fore. They were judged by member Peter Gould picking out the seven that he liked the best. One being Jan’s with artificial blossom attached to an Alice band, and with birds, and butterflies, etc. in amongst the blossom. All were awarded a chocolate Rabbit for a prize.

John Woolsgrove, a member, entertained everyone with his singing and music. All joined in some of his songs, and listened intently to the ones that told a story! John was pleased to receive a cheque from the Club to give to the Guide Dogs, as he is hopeful that he will soon be able to have a guide dog. John and friends are at the Evergreen Pub on Tuesday nights.

It was announced that the Club was looking into a Christmas Lights three night trip in November, and a day trip to Berkeley Castle at the beginning of July. The afternoon finished with everybody having an Easter Muffin decorated with little eggs and a chocolate rabbit.

There are no club meetings until May 4. The members and friends going on the trip to Cornwall: please be at the multistorey coach stop on April 25 in plenty of time. The coach DEPARTS at 8 am.

Happy Easter to everybody.
