TENBY AFC II 4
MONKTON SWIFTS II 3
On a sunny winter's morning, the home team carried on their unbeaten record from the previous three games by adding another three points to the seven they received against, Camrose, Herbrandston and Carew.
With a strong squad, the team was announced leaving Phil Spindlove and Nic Webster-Smith on the bench.
The first two Tenby goals came in quick succession, with a neatly placed shot from Tom Davies and a low drive from Dominic 'Lego' Lamb putting the home team ahead after 25 minutes.
The Tenby midfield sat back thinking the two goals had given them a comfortable lead at the interval, but on the stroke of half-time the Monkton attackers put pressure on the Tenby goal and left Ben 'The Face' Evans no chance with a stray shot and a controversial free-kick which cancelled out the Tenby scoreline at the halfway mark.
The game became fiery in the second-half, with two sets of fresh legs in Spindlove and Webster-Smith coming on in the midfield and the attack, replacing Lamb and Crockford, respectively.
The ball was kept evenly in the middle of the park for the majority of the second-half, but when a clearance from Evans put Mark James through on goal he took his chance superbly and swerved the ball around the Monkton 'keeper at the far post.
With 20 minutes to go, the Tenby midfield of McLaren, Spindlove, Horseley and McKay did not want to give up providing the front two of Davies and Webster-Smith with through balls. These efforts resulted in another goal when Webster-Smith latched on to a pass and chipped the 'keeper.
From the restart, Monkton played keep ball and strung a few passes together before driving a shot through a crowded Tenby penalty area into the bottom corner of the goal to make it 4-3 to the home team with seconds to go.
The game was restarted and shortly afterwards it was mission accomplished for the Seasiders - 10 points from four games, leaving them in a respectable mid-table position in the Reserve Division.
Team: Evans, M. James, Beare, Thomas, Lawrence, McKay, Lamb (Spindlove, 45), Horseley, McLaren, Davies, Crockford (Webster-Smith, 50). Sub not used: R. James.

SAUNDERSFOOT II 3
Saturday, November 31, was derby day. The Seasiders faced their toughest game of the season at home to Saundersfoot.
Before kick-off, Remi Page and Peter Thomas did all they could to make the pitch playable and these efforts paid off when 2.30 pm came and both teams were raring to go.
With an atmosphere from the touchline, both teams were fired up and the first tackle would be the most important of the game. This fell to the debutant, Mike Evans, who won the ball off his opposite number in the middle of the park.
The first opportunity of the game fell to the visitors' number nine, and 'The Face' in the Tenby goal gathered his long-range effort with ease.
The first-half saw nothing else apart from a string of ball-winning tackles by Evans, a caution for the Saundersfoot 'keeper and a goal-saving tackle by Spindlove on Caine who was clean through on goal.
The second-half kicked off with the same fiery temperament, with efforts from both teams forcing corners and free-kicks around the penalty area.
Saundersfoot took the lead with a great strike from 25 yards when Caine gave the home 'keeper no chance.
Shortly after, the visitors made it two when Bridges fired in at the near post from close range.
The game slowed down for a while, but when Tommy James put the home team back in the game with a driven shot from the edge of the area, the derby spirit shone through the grey skies. The strike which came late on forced Tenby to put an extra man up front in an attempt to rescue the game, but this resulted in them being caught short at the back, resulting in a corner which allowed a free header to power in to the back of the net and finish the game.
Despite losing, the Tenby team was pleased with their performance and on a derby day, Monsieur Remi Page couldn't have asked for any more.
Tenby team: Ben Evans, Phil Spindlove, Stuart McLaren, Tony Beare, Tommy James, Tom Davies, Peter Horseley (Ben Crockford), Mike Evans, Nic Webster-Smith, Dom Lamb, James Brown.
GIRLS FOOTBALL
UNDER 14s: Tenby Under 14s were back playing again after a break of several weeks.
Against Saundersfoot they won 3-0, with Kaylie Davies scoring all three goals. Danielle Jones and Chantelle Johnson played well, with Jenna Wright in defence almost stopping everything.
Lauren Wright had a bit more to do and kept another clean sheet.
Their next match against Neyland was a much tougher affair, with the Neyland 'keeper playing exceptionally well.
Tenby had most of the possession, but just couldn't score, until Danielle Jones found the back of the net with minutes to go.
Squad: Kaylie Davies, Lauren Wright, Jenna Wright, Danielle Jones, Chantelle Johnson.
UNDER 12s: Tenby Jays had a tough match against Prendergast. Victoria Brace was superb in goal, with Danielle Jones and Anna Doble running and passing well. Lowri Lewis and Cheek passed, the ball well, while Lucia Fecci and Leila May did their best to stop Prendergast. The Jays eventually lost 1-0.
Their second game was much better, with a 3-0 victory over Neyland. Danielle Jones scored twice, with Victoria Brace adding the third.
In their final game they met Tenby Tornadoes. This was a thrilling game that looked like ending in stalemate, until Sophie John scored for the Tornadoes, leaving the Jays very little time to pull it back.
The Tornadoes once again beat the Jays. Next week's rematch should be very exciting!
Squad: Danielle Jones, Victoria Brace, Lucia Fecci, Cheek, Ann Doble, Lowri Lewis, Leila May.
The Tornadoes played Neyland and it took the girls a long time to get involved. Neyland surprisingly went 1-0 ahead. This seemed to spur the Tornadoes on. Chantelle Johnson played well in goal, with Holly Cloak and Joanna Rowe running well up front. Lucy May and Taylor-Field Thomas chased well, but star of the whole morning was Emma Griffiths, whose defending was outstanding - at times being left with three players to mark, she came out on top.
Sophie John scored the equalising goal to make this a more respectable result.
With Emma exhausted from her efforts in their first match, the Tornadoes found it hard to compete with a strong Pembroke Boro side. Chantelle in goal produced some good saves to keep the score down, but the Tornadoes lost 3-0, with some uninspiring play by some team members.
However, they made up for this in their last game against Tenby Jays.
Squad: Joanna Rowe, Sophie John, Lucy May, Chantelle Johnson, Taylor Field-Thomas, Holly Cloake, Emma Griffiths.
TENBY LADIES 1 GOODWICK LADIES 0
Tenby continued their run of good form in their match against Goodwick which resulted in a 1-0 win.
Tenby produced a good performance against a usually strong Goodwick team, with the match being settled by a single goal in the first half.
The game started off at a blistering pace, with both sides eager to dominate. Nicola Aston had plenty of the ball as most of the play was down the right-hand side.
Tenby attacked in numbers whenever they got the ball, but delay in their first touch allowed the home defence to re-organise; Hazel Sawyer was also keeping a close eye on the usually dangerous Alis Deason to keep her out of the game.
Tenby should have been at least three goals up by half-time, but were not taking advantage of the strong wind behind them. Nicola and Cally came close with shots that hit the side netting and Carrie Slack lost her marker on occasions to look dangerous breaking through the middle.
The goal was produced from a corner, which couldn't be cleared by the Goodwick defence and was knocked in by Tenby's skipper Cally Roberts.
In the second half, Tenby's hope of using winger Nicola Aston to better advantage did not materialise due to Nicola being brought down in the penalty area and being stretchered-off.
Tenby were reduced to 10 women, which meant extra work for Kayleigh up front.
Denise Powell looked confident in goal and from her clearances Tenby could attack quickly. Louise Turberfield and Ani Nicholls were working hard to support Kayleigh who was unfortunate to score.
Goodwick made an all out effort to gain some sort of respectability from the match, but the defence of Hazel Sawyer, Imelde Rossi, Carrie Slack and Hayley kept them at bay to see Tenby through to the final whistle.
Tenby squad: Denise Powell, Hayley, Carrie Slack, Imelde Rossi, Hazel Sawyer, Nicola Aston, Louise Tuberfield, Ani Nicholls, Vicky Cray, Cally Roberts (capt.), Kayleigh Davies.
There is no match this week for Tenby Ladies, but their next match is on December 15 at home against Saundersfoot Ladies.
