The Tees-R-Us sponsored Tenby Under 16s crashed to their third defeat of the season, at home to Hundleton, and just when a draw looked like being fair result.

Tenby had the edge in the first half and battled well against a much bigger side and deservedly took the lead when a cross from the right by Perry Broadhurst was well finished by Jack Christopher.

Christopher almost doubled his tally when he coolly lobbed the visiting 'keeper, after being put clear by the excellent Lloyd Wilson, but his shot struck the crossbar and rebounded back into the 'keeper's hands.

Matthew Birch was next to go close for Tenby when his low shot went under the Hundleton 'keeper's body, only to be denied this time by a post.

Tenby looked a different team in the second half and for some reason lost the hustle and bustle of the first period.

Hundleton slowly began to take control and inevitably drew level after 20 minutes of the restart.

At this point, a draw seemed destined to be the final outcome, but the last quarter proved fatal for the Seasiders, who so often over-elaborated things, and Hundleton took the lead from a corner, when Tenby failed to get the ball away.

Now, with the self-destruct button pressed, Tenby succumbed to two more soft goals which made the score rather flattering for the visitors.

The game was, once again, well controlled by Alan Sykes. The match balls were sponsored by Hillings Hardware, of Tenby.

NARBERTH U10s 0

The Rumbleway Caravan Park sponsored Tenby Under 10s collected a good win last Saturday, this time against Narberth.

Alex Heesom fired them into the lead after a good pass from Matthew Davie, and this was quickly followed by a brace from Ashley Smith.

Robert Fairlie pulled off a number of good saves in the Tenby goal, to deny the visitors, before Philip Horsley and a jubilant Greg Lees-Griffiths completed the scoring before the interval.

Narberth rallied well at the start of the second half, but sound defending from Ciaran Broomhead, Lees-Griffiths and Nicholas Hall, wearing the red and black for the first time, kept them at bay.

Broomhead was the next on the score-sheet, followed by a spectacular shot from Greg and finally Joe Koop had an easy tap-in for the eighth goal.

Tenby team: R. Fairlie, G. Lees-Griffiths, C. Broomhead, N. Hall, M. Davie, P. Horsley, A. Smith, A. Heesom, C. Hurlow, J. Koop.

TENBY U13s CAREW U13s

Tenby U13s were drawn against Carew in the first round of the League Cup.

Tenby had a comfortable win 9-1, with goals coming from Adam Johns, Aaron Goldsmith (2), Guto Griffiths, new signing Brett Evans and Mikey Boswell (4).

All the squad managed to play and were a credit to the Tenby club. With several players swapping positions, it is comforting to know that the side has strength in depth, especially 'keeper Richard Thomas, who in the second half at left back, marked the Carew winger out of the match.

The boys look forward to progressing into the next round for the first time at this age group.

Squad: Richard Thomas, Jamie Robins, Jordan Lloyd, Brett Evans, Joe Scourfield, Guto Griffiths, Scott Helmich, Michael Halligan, Sam Christopher, Mikey Boswell, Adam Johns, Aaron Goldsmith (capt), Joe Lewis, Gavin Kinsey.

Both these games were breathtaking to watch.
