Tenby Under 13s 4 Landore Colts (Swansea) 5

Tenby's run of four consecutive clean sheets was soon ended by the well-organised Landore Colts outfit in a friendly match.

Fast wide runs were followed by precision crosses which the visiting strikers headed powerfully past Lewis Roberts who had no chance in the Tenby goal.

Jacob Dent and Luke Conbeer defended strongly and Shaun Whitfield, Robert Davies and Marcus Read responded well to the constant pressure they were put under.

Tenby rode the storm to fight back with some good attacking play when Jerome Mansbridge made the most of some good through passes from Ryan Price and George Wilkins, to beat a defender and then to slide the ball skilfully past the advancing visiting goalkeeper.

Landore almost immediately made the score 3-1 from another cross and from a set play another header thundered into the Tenby net. Tenby's efforts to fight back resulted in a goal for Richard Tebbutt to make the half-time score 4-2 to the visitors.

The second half was an exciting affair with Tenby creating good goal chances, only to be denied by the quick-tackling Landore defenders, who covered well to protect their goalkeeper from any close range shots.

Brandon Taylor-Monaghan reduced the arrears for Tenby running 40 yards to force the ball in from close range. Elliot Rivers and Morgan Slate used their speed to create several attacks that were thwarted at the last minute.

Jerome Mansbridge and James Bridges figured well as Tenby attacked strongly, and took the risk of a quick Landore counter attack. Lewis Roberts scrambled the ball off his line and cleared strongly before George Wilkins hammered the ball in from the left menacingly, with the ball taking a deflection off the head of a defender to bring the scores level at 4-4.

Both sides went for the win to the enjoyment of the spectators. With added time being played, Roberts made a tremendous save and from a corner, Landore made the score 5-4 from close range as Tenby failed to clear what turned out to be the last kick of a well-contested game.

Tenby squad: Lewis Roberts, Jacob Dent, Marcus Read, Shaun Whitfield, Luke Conbeer, Elliott Rivers, George Wilkins, Richard Tebbutt, James Bridges, Morgan Slate, Ryan Price, Robert Davies, Jerome Mansbridge.

Tenby player-of-the-match was Luke Conbeer.

KILGETTY 0

Tenby U10s played their second game of the season at home to Kilgetty on a damp Saturday morning.

The first half started with the boys tackling and defending well and gaining control of the ball soon after the start of the game. A great goal from Ryan Conbeer soon got the Seasiders off to a great start which seemed to up their pace instantly. Toby Poole scored the second goal after chipping the ball into the back of the net soon after.

Some great defence work by Tom Rossiter, Jack Broadhurst and Elliott Moorhouse constantly pushed the ball forward into the Kilgetty half putting the pressure on.

Caie Elms played an excellent game scoring a goal after some fantastic footwork and some great runs by Tom Murphy and Ben Palin added to some great team work. Ryan added to the score with a super shot at goal netting another top corner goal.

Kilgetty were denied a good attempt at goal by a great save by James Harris. Another attempt by Caie was saved by the determined Kilgetty goalkeeper shortly before the whistle blew for half-time.

James Harris came out of his goalkeeping position and Jack Broadhurst went into goal for the second half of the game.

The boys continued to gain possession of the ball. Ben Palin had some great runs and crosses during the second half which resulted in him scoring two further goals, one of which came about after a frantic kick about by several players ever determined to score.

Toby and Caie both slotted in further goals shortly after each other after some great teamwork. Elliott Moorhouse tackled well and gained control of the ball resulting in him getting a well-deserved goal. James had a great shot at goal, but was denied by the 'keeper.

The final three goals came during the last five minutes with a corner kick from Ryan, a great shot at the top corner of the net by Toby and the final goal by Caie just as the whistle blew for full-time.

Team: Jack Broadhurst, Caie Elms, Elliott Moorhouse, Toby Poole, Ryan Conbeer, Ben Palin, Tom Murphy, Tom Rossiter and James Harris.

Thanks as always goes to coach Matt Broadhurst and to all parents for their continued support.

Tenby U8s 0

On a wet Saturday morning, Tenby faced a strong Kilgetty side.

The game started well for Tenby with Rhys Morgan breaking through the Kilgetty defence, but with no support, the chance was missed.

From then on the away team found themselves under pressure which defenders Ollie Brown, Lucas Probert, Jay Brace and Jacob Miles did their best to soak up.

Tenby's 'keeper Joe Evans made some great saves, but was unable to stop a fine shot from one Kilgetty striker to give the home team a one nil lead before half time.

After the break Tenby came back stronger with midfielders Elliot Whareitt (Tenby's man-of-the-match) and Ethan Shapcott battling for every ball. A good move down the left between Alex Wainwright and Whareitt put Joe Symonds through but the chance was missed.

Once again Tenby found themselves under pressure and Evans in goal found himself having to pull off some excellent saves.

With some changes in the Tenby defence, tough-tackling from Tom Wright and Lewis Waters eased the pressure somewhat and Tenby found themselves in with another chance of getting back in the game.

A great pass from Whareitt put Morgan through, but the Kilgetty defence soon closed the door and put Tenby straight on the back foot from which they scored to go two up and give them the win.
