Tenby under 12s 1 Lamphey under 12s 3

This was a return match of a high pressure encounter two weeks ago, and Tenby were expected to reverse the result, with the addition of key players Jerome Mansbridge and Richard Tebbutt. However, a fairly even first half ended with the visitors leading 2-1 and the home team regretting a missed chance at close range which could have put them ahead. Tenby seemed to be dealing with the attacks through the middle of their defence, and Jacob Dent, Nathan Wilson and Rob Davies gave the necessary protection to Lewis Roberts in goal, but even then he had to race from his line to kick the ball away. Lamphey opened the scoring after 15 minutes with a free-kick which dipped into the far corner of the Tenby goal, and this seemed to wake Tenby up for James Bridges to fire in at the far post from a good cross from the right. With the score at 1-1, Tenby produced their only glimpse of their potential and a low shot by Jerome Mansbridge and another close range effort were scrambled away by Billy Woods in the Lamphey goal. Lamphey soon recovered from this pressure and Corey Lowndes spun in the Tenby penalty to put his team ahead with a good low shot. The 2-1 scoreline at half-time did not seem beyond Tenby to get back in the game, but Lamphey raised their work rate and Tenby were second best in most aspects of the second half. Tenby's efforts to get back into it took too many players into the Lamphey penalty area to make room for a shot and left them exposed when the visitors got possession and built up attacks. Lewis Roberts made a couple of good saves in the Tenby goal, but the visitors went further ahead with a sweeping move, to prove their superiority at taking chances. This was not a good day for Tenby, who could not get into the necessary rhythm of passing, and left themselves too much to do against a skilful and enthusiastic Lamphey team. Tenby squad: Lewis Roberts, Nathan Wilson, Jacob Dent, Rob Davies, Luke Conbeer, Elliott Rivers, Richard Tebbutt, Ryan Price, Jerome Mansbridge, James Bridges, Brandon Taylor-Monaghan, Morgan Slate.

Tenby U11s A 9 Narberth U11s 1

Tenby As continued their winning run with a victory at home to Narberth this week. After conceding an early corner, Tenby turned defence into attack with a slick first-time passing move that involved virtually every player on the team, before Scott Ferney fired in from close range. A neat short corner then found Lloyd Hughes in acres of space on the left, and his cross was converted by Spencer Williams to make it 2-0 to the Seasiders. Scott Ferney swiftly added number three, and a powerful low shot from Lloyd Hughes wide on the left put the game beyond the visitors. The Narberth 'keeper and the woodwork kept Tenby at bay for the next few minutes. Dylan Rees had a shot palmed over the bar. Adam Muskett rattled the bar. And Declan Escott struck the post. Long kicks from the Narberth 'keeper, pushed the ball deep into Tenby territory. But sweeper Owen Coombs looked unbeatable at the back, giving wingbacks Tom Harries and Luke Hartland the freedom to push further up the park and link neatly with the midfield. Eventually the Tenby pressure told, and Dylan Rees made it five before half-time with a classy downward header. Tenby reshuffled positions in the second half, and Narberth earned the biggest cheer of the day when they grabbed a consolation goal after pouncing on a loose back pass. However, Lloyd Hughes soon added a sixth for Tenby, after the home side broke quickly and a fierce shot was spilled by the Narberth 'keeper. Having adjusted to their new positions, the Tenby boys got back into their fluid passing game, and Declan Escott made it 7-0. A goalmouth scramble led to an eighth, scored by Spencer Williams. In the last couple of minutes, Owen Coombs made it 9-0, volleying home from a corner. Well done to all the Tenby boys for a great game of football. Thanks as ever to match referee Nicky Rees and to Newey Electrical Installations Ltd, the Tenby A kit sponsors.

CAREW U13s 0 TENBY U13s 11 At long last back to full strength the U13s travelled the short distance to Carew for an early start. No time for the usual meeting in the playground and no time either for Carew to settle before Tenby grabbed the early initiative, Rhys opening the scoring with a popular goal. In what was to be a fluent half of play, Tenby dominated, with Joe picking up two, Jack taking a hat-trick and Hugo finding the back of the net, Ronaldo style, from a free-kick. With a comfortable 7-0 lead going into the second half, Carew had little to offer as Tenby continued on their goal rampage. Carew tried, but Tenby were dominant in all areas of the pitch - George was rarely troubled as the back line of Corey, Cheyne, Jack and Sam protected their goal area, providing good service to the midfield of David (having a great game in acres of space), Toby, Hugo and Rhys, who fed the front line of Elliot and Joe. Substitutes Jake, Nathan and towards the end 'Tommy G' came on and contributed well to the action. Joe got his name on the scoresheet twice more (game total four), Hugo slotted another one home and David wrapped up the scoring for a convincing Tenby victory. On the day, confidence, belief and team spirit were the winners - Tenby had them all. Well done to you all and to Carew, who never let their heads drop, for a game played in a friendly way against school mates. Thanks to coach John, Ted on the line and the touchline gang who had a fairly relaxed morning. Only four more league games to go... Squad: George McBeth, Corey Morris, Cheyne Lloyd, Jack Murphy, Sam Butler, Hugo Wellum, David Webb, Toby Rossiter, Rhys Nicholas, Elliot Goldsmith, Joe Worley, Jake Cooke, Nathan Farmiloe, Tom Grover and Scott Cowan. tenby u8s 11 Hundleton 2

This week, Tenby Under 8s entertained Hundleton, who travelled with a large squad, ensuring two games could be played. Team one welcomed the return of Harry Cook, absent during the defeat against Hakin last week, who was in fine form, netting six goals - despite wearing a pair of Simon Cowell's shorts! Iori Hicks made some excellent saves in goal and is now working well with his defence of Steven Ward, Ben Millward and Harry Williams - both Harry and Ben showing great skill, playing the ball well out of defence and managing to get on the scoresheet, Harry once and Ben twice. Max Brindley showed signs of excellence and reasons why he has progressed to Cardiff City's Football Academy - well done Max, plus scoring one goal. Lewis Sarrionandia scored a fine solo effort and linked well with his striking partners, Billy Lawrence and Harrison Duckett, who passed the ball excellently to bring the midfield into the game. Finlay Bowie found his position at wing back and never stopped racing up and down the flank, putting some excellent crosses into the danger area for the Tenby strikers to pounce. Well done boys, lots of goals and lots of fun. In the second game, the Tenby team of Steffan Fifield, Dylan Scotcher, James Crawley Richards, Ethan Shapcott, Thomas Rees, Sam Collins, Harvey Johns and Fran Zeraschi played some excellent football, unfortunately losing 5-1 to a well-drilled Hundleton side. Ethen Shapcott scored a cracker to gain his first goal of the season - many more to follow we hope! TENBY U15s 14 HUNDLETON U15s 1

Tenby Under 15s, sponsored by Willow Carpentry, got back to winning ways with this big win over a committed Hundleton team. Although, realistically, the title has eluded Tenby, they can still finish as runners-up and they are still in the cup, so there is still everything to play for. The opening 20 minutes were a fairly even affair, but once Tenby scored the first goal the game became one-way traffic. Curtis Hurlow, playing in the unaccustomed role of striker, set up Jordan Richards and fellow striker, Alex Heesom, got the second after heading in Declan Carroll's cross. Heesom also got the third following good play from Richards and Ashley Smith and that's how it finished at the break. Ashley Andrews hit a great shot within a minute of the restart and two long range efforts from Jordan Richards gave him a much deserved hat-trick. Richards went on to score four before being replaced by Aaron Roberts. Declan Carroll's pinpoint corner found Smith's head to make it eight-nil and Carroll got in on the act hitting a fierce shot into the top right-hand corner of the goal. Tenby made several changes, with Heesom and Dan Edwards making way for Leo Moreland and Rob Fairlie; Fairlie being the most significant change as he scored with his first touch, with Smith providing the cross for Fairlie to head home. Moments later he made it two, when Smith's cross found Andrews at the far post and he unselfishly gave Fairlie the easiest job of tapping in. Andrews then grabbed his second of the match with another fine strike and also provided the corner, which gave Carroll his second after he allegedly got the final touch. A cheer went up when Hurlow went in goal to give 'keeper, Jake Roberts, the chance to play out. Unfortunately, Hurlow's first job was to pick the ball out of the net, as some slack marking gave Hundleton their only consolation goal. However, the loudest cheer of the day was when Fairlie scored his very well deserved hat-trick. Tenby side: J. Roberts, P. Horsley, G. Lees-Griffiths, P. Elliott, D. Edwards, A. Andrews, J. Richards, D. Carroll, A. Heesom, C. Hurlow, A. Smith, R. Fairlie, L. Moreland, A. Roberts.
