With Tenby Firefighters Carnival drawing in the crowds once again - the winners of the fancy dresss entrants and floats on display have been revealed.

Hundreds took to the streets of the town on Wednesday, August 6 to support the fundraising event once again, with all money raised going towards the Fire Fighters Charity.

The return of the vibrant Carnival parade, saw the seaside resort celebrating with floats, fancy dress, and community spirit!

Anyone and everyone was welcome to enter the carnival, with no advance entry required.

Float winners were as follows: 1, Tenby superheroes; 2, Tenby Aces; 3, Tenby Round Table.

Fancy dress winners were: Under 3s - Punk pony club; U7s - Jurassic Park, Chester; U11s - Tenby Pirates, Sam and Edward (winners); Cowgirl on an Emu, Autumn (runner-up); Adult class - 1st, Roller Disco, 2nd, Steam Punk, 3rd, Jim Cornwell.

The ‘Denny Paxton trophy’ for best overall walking class went to - Steampunk, Jane Paxton and Tracey Cowan.

Main sponsor of the event was Tenby House Hotel.

Carnival chairman, Rhys Thomas said: “We’d like to thank all our sponsors once again, without them, we couldn’t put a carnival on; and thanks as well to all those that entered.

“Next year, we’re hoping to host a big, big carnival - with as many locals involved as possible, with a massive amount of fancy dress walkers and floats.”
