A new opportunity has become available for under 2s in Tenby; baby signing! After studies were published showing that baby signing can be beneficial to a child's langauge development and IQ, baby signing has become increasingly popular for parents wanting to give their little ones a head start!

This isn't signing for the deaf, but a way of using gestures to boost babies' language and cognitive development. Babies' gross motor skills and understanding of language develops before they can use speech, so Tenby babies are learning to use signs to tell their parents what they are thinking, and having great fun too!

Developed with the help of speech and language professionals and recommended by experts, The Sing and Sign programme has been running for over a decade accross the UK, but this is the first time that parents in Pembrokeshire have been able to join in!

The Sing and Sign session is held at The Playroom in Tenby on Tuesdays at 10.30 am. More details can be found at http://www.singandsign.com">www.singandsign.com or through the 'Sing and Sign Pembrokeshire' Facebook page
