The photograph shows retiring president, Arthur Squibbs, congratulating the new president, Peter Durdin, on taking office for 2009.
Arthur is arranging a five-day, four nights, trip to the Peak District with Diamond Coaches. This is to take place from June 4 and will be a trip tailor-made to suit the club's own needs. The plan at the moment is to visit the National Arboretum, Chatsworth House, Buxton and Bakewell and, if possible, the National Tram Museum.
If anyone is interested, then contact Arthur on 843694 for more information. Friends from other clubs can be taken to bring numbers up and fill the coach.
The one-day trip this year will be on Wednesday, July 29, when members will visit Aberaeron plus the National Trust house and gardens at Llanerchaeron. More on this outing later.
At the annual general meeting, the following changes were made: Peter Durdin is new president, with Darrel John as vice-president; Robert Smith has taken over as treasurer and the other officers remain in place.
Subs remain at £5 for the year, which must make it the cheapest show in town.
The next meeting is on February 4, when the speaker for the morning will be Lew Day. Contact him on 844633 for more information.
