Wednesday, March 25: an eight-table Howell in play.  Winners were Jill and John O'Sullivan 61.46 per cent; 2. Irene Delahunty and Cindy Middleton 55.90; 3. Liz Crockford and Kevin Thomas 54.51; 4. Doug Silcox and Ray Bowen 53.13; 5. Pam Richards and Pam Evans 51.39.

Members are quite pleased that attendances are maintaining the earlier promise, especially on Friday nights. Add to that the increasing competiveness, with new names winning the master points each session, our club is thriving.

Bridge, as they say, is one of the few games which can be played from the age of 10 to 100.

To underline this point, members all helped Maureen Poole to celebrate her 80th birthday last Friday. Secretary Irene ensured a successful party by producing a few nibbles and wine, while Maureen's friend and bridge partner, Sue Batten, supplied an '80' cake, which went down well.

Members are advised that the club is taking part in the Bridge Great Britain Simultaneous on Wednesday, April     15.

The Western Area annual general meeting is on Sunday, April 26, in Haverfordwest, followed by the John Isaac Pairs  Tournament. Names on list on the noticeboard please.

Duplicate bridge is played twice weekly, Monday at 7 pm and Friday at 6.30 pm, at the Kilgetty Community Centre. New members and visitors are always welcome.  Ring Rosie for partners on  813172.
