Wednesday, February 7: The last of the three internal 'teams' event results - 1. Liz Crockford, Kevin Thomas, Sheridan Bradley and Margaret Day 30 MPs; 2. Carmel Wiseman, Wendy Thornton, Nicky Hancock and Peter Oeppen 20MPs; 3. Jill and John O'Sullivan, Doug Silcox and Ray Bowen 10MPs.
The best two results of the three will be used to establish the winners of the trophy -results next week. Friday, February 9: It was proposed that in future the Friday evening bridge session starts at 6.30 pm sharp. It was well received and will be given a trial period starting tonight (Friday). The nomination form for the next management committee is on the notice board in preparation for the annual general meeting in March. Retiring from our management committee this time is the very popular Sheridan Bradley, ex-chairman and very busy bee. Sheridan and Bernard are going to join their children in South Africa. They will be missed and are wished every success in the future - apparently there is plenty of bridge available to keep them happy. Results: 1. Gladys Irvine and Bert Barnikel 61.81 per cent; 2. Margaret and Richard Caley 59.72; 3. Mary and John Hodgeon 57.64.
Duplicate bridge is played twice weekly, at the Kilgetty Community Centre, Wednesday at 7 pm sharp and on Friday at 6.30 pm sharp. Visitors are always welcome - further information from hon. secretary Irene on 01646 622002.
