This week's meeting at St. Florence Village Hall was a workshop on how to print cards. Harry Gardiner had prepared a very informative workshop on printing cards from your own photos. The hall was packed with members, who were very interested in the techniques involved and how to size their images correctly, to fit onto the surface of the card. Harry used some of the members' photos to show examples of how the print would look. He used the club's printer to print out the cards, very successfully. He made it seem so easy, everyone felt that they could follow his instructions and make their own cards for Christmas. After tea, biscuits and a chat, the audience was treated to a spectacular show of photographs from Rushdean Photographic Club, of top competition entries. Next week's meeting is a mini competition on the subject of 'Water', members are asked to bring one digital image for this competition. This will be followed by a workshop on the use of filters. The club welcomes everyone interested in photography, whether beginner or experienced in the subject, to join them.
