As the summer season is drawing to a close, the club is looking to the winter session and the showing of the product of a fine photographic summer. Club secretary, Alan Jones, has regaled and encouraged members to look at the prospect of producing audio visual presentations and images to disc via the computer. Alan gave a demonstration of programmes that can be used to bring the photograph from the camera to the finished product on the screen or disc. In this respect, some members gave him and others the benefit of their experience at times when it was most needed. With most other clubs in Wales now looking to extend their media outlets from print and slide, it was a timely demonstration of the way the computer and digital cameras are making an impact on the more traditional film and slide presentations. The new programme for the winter season has now been finalised and a full range of speakers, presentation and of course, competitions for prints, slides and digital images has been arranged. It promises to be a good winter. The next meeting of the club will be on September 14, at 7.30 pm, at the Church Hall, St. Issell's Church, Saundersfoot, when members will be selecting their prints for the Tenby Arts Festival Exhibition opening at St. Johns Church, Warren Street, Tenby, on Monday, September 18. This follows on a very successful exhibition at Carew Methodist Church in August, so take your prints along, but if you are not participating why not just go along to view and take part and see what's happening whether you are an existing member or wish to join the club. Any further information is available from club chairman, Mr. Doug Williams (01834) 811190.
