Tenby AFC held its junior presentation night at the De Valence Pavilion where, for the first time ever, all 13 teams were gathered at the same time.

The club is very grateful to the De Valence Trust for allowing them to do so.

Chairman, Alun Morgan, opened the proceedings by firstly thanking Andrew Price, the club's main sponsor, whose financial support over the years has made Tenby AFC the force it is today. He went on to thank all the individual team kit sponsors, the ground advertising board sponsors and the many business and individuals that have contributed to the club this year.

Alun commented that it had been a fantastic season, having won six league championships, five league runners-up, two cup finals and two cup final runners-up.

This was mainly due to the excellent coaching staff that the club has which resulted in a loud round of applause.

Obviously, they can't do it without the commitment and dedication of all the players and the assistance and loyalty from the parents. They were thanked for making it a truly exceptional year.

Before the presentations got under way, Alun made a special reference to Chris Fairlie who served refreshments every Saturday morning for the juniors.

Alun then introduced the honoured guests, who would be presenting the awards. They were main sponsor, Andrew Price, ex-junior player now with Haverfordwest County, Bobby Briers, and another ex-junior player who now plays for Cardiff City and won his first Welsh Under 16s Schoolboys cap, Elliot Scotcher.

The Under 8s, under the watchful eye of Lee Simmons, Adam Brown and Colin Wherritt, had enjoyed a good first season of football, which is always the most difficult, but they won more games than they lost and with a small squad. Each player received a commemorative medal.

The Under 9 As, managed by Luke Lawrence and Scott Sarrionandia, and sponsored by DVS, Allmak and ProWaste, also had a good year and with the large numbers attending formed a 'B' side run by Lloyd Davies and sponsored by Manor House Wildlife Park. Both teams received a commemorative medal.
