The new memorial which was erected to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the start of the Great War, was recently unveiled by Sam and Betty Harrison.

The inaugural Remembrance Day service will be held on Tuesday, November 11, at the new memorial on the village green car park.

Judith Francis will conduct the short service and children from Templeton School will recite a poem that is taken from a gravestone in Templeton URC churchyard. It was written by the mother of a soldier who was killed and buried in France.

After the service, refreshments will be served in the church hall. All welcome.
