Matters discussed at the October meeting of Templeton Community Council were as follows:
Matters arising - The driver of the bus that parks in the car park has been spoken to by a community councillor and has agreed to park in a more suitable location; trees in Poyers Grove are still to be pruned, and the council are awaiting a reply from Network Rail; the wheelchair access to Church Hall has been completed
New items of business - Some progress has been made on the bus stop at Templeton and Cold Blow and the matter is ongoing; Templeton corner bus shelter will not be demolished; a casual vacancy for a community councillor is to be advertised for Templeton and Cold Blow ward; a long-term strategy for Church Hall will be discussed for the next meeting.
County Councillor's report - The car park on the green had been brushed and cleaned; problems with dip to be sorted as soon as possible; West Lane will be closed for three days from November 4 for re-surfacing; Washfield Cross hedging will be carried out over the winter.
Correspondence - A letter was received from Mrs. M. Morse regarding dog fouling at Templeton Airfield - 'No Dog Fouling' signs are to be purchased and placed on the path by order of Templeton Community Council; South East Pembrokeshire Community Health Network will be holding a meeting on Tuesday, November 29, at New Hedges Village Hall, at 2 pm.
Planning applications - Erection of dwelling at East Close, Cold Blow (approved).
Church Hall - A catalogue had been received and 10 tables were to be ordered.
Councillors' reports - Some pot-hole damage near to the gateway on the village green was to be repaired
Templeton Community Council and Templeton Community Association will hold a bonfire party on the village green on Friday, November 4. The evening will start at 6.30 pm, with fireworks at 7 pm. Soup and hot dogs will be on sale. All welcome to attend.
