Matters discussed at the December meeting of Templeton Community Council included the following:
Matters arising from the minutes: The trustees of the football field were unable to attend the meeting, and following discussions, it was agreed to write to the parties, in order to try and resolve this matter
Correspondence: A notice was received of temporary road closure between Yerbeston and Templeton Road near Carne Bridge from January 26 for two weeks.
County Councillor's report: Enquiries were ongoing with Pembrokeshire County Council regarding a site for a bus stop at Cold Blow which the community council has agreed to fund.
Planning applications: Clr. Morse declared an interest and left the meeting. Refusal of planning permission - 25 dwellings adjacent to Templeton CP school and static caravan at Rosehill Farm, Tanners Lane, Templeton.
Church Hall: Drawings from Planed were presented and discussed and further ideas and options would be pursued in the coming months.
Any other business: There were further reports of flooding in blocked gullies at West Lane, Woods Cross and Tanners Lane. A resident in Tanners Lane had expressed concern that flooding drains had washed kerbstones away from outside their property. Letters had been sent to Pembrokeshire County Council which to date had received no response.
There was a continuing problem with dog fouling in the village. Council would contact the dog warden with a view to patrolling the area in order to deter irresponsible dog owners.
Problems had occurred where members of the public were parking on the chevrons outside the Boars Head pub, causing difficulty with visibility. This was not a parking area and patrons were requested to use the designated car park.
There had been several incidents of anti-social behaviour at Templeton School over the Christmas and New Year holidays, where compost bins had been emptied and spread over the windows and other areas, as well as door locks damaged and other minor vandalism. Villagers are encouraged to report any incidents they are aware of to the police or one of their councillors.
