At the September meeting of Templeton Community Council, the chairman, Clr. E. Morse, congratulated the Community Association on their work on the 'Wales in Bloom' entry.

It was also suggested that the council write to Pembrokeshire County Council requesting that the road sweeper make a regular visit to the village, as one had not been for some time.

Correspondence

The Draft Action Plan for Templeton was shown to the council. The full plan when completed by Planed would be sent to the council. It was suggested that the Community Association look in to preparing a feasibility study on extending the hall and developing the field behind.

A letter from Pembrokeshire County Council was received stating that an application for a change of opening times at the Boars Head had been received. There were no objections.

Milford Haven Town Council had sent the council a copy of a letter that their Mayor, Clr. D. R. Sinnett had sent to the Prime Minister, the Welsh Assembly and the Fire Chief of Haverfordwest. In the letter, concerns were raised concerning the proposed cutback in manpower of the fire brigade at Milford Haven and Haverfordwest.

Planning

There were no objections to the following planning applications: Proposed activity room extension - Busy Bees Nursery, Cold Blow; change of use from tea room/craft retail into residential dwelling - Barn Court Antiques, Templeton.

Certificate of lawfulness for an existing use or activity in breach of planning application - Autumn Drive, Cold Blow, Narberth (passed). Conversion of outbuilding into holiday accommodation - Grove Gate Farm, Molleston (passed).

ANY OTHER BUSINESS

Clr. M. Gibbs raised the matter about surveyors on the Molleston road. Clr. P. Williams suggested that Clr. E. Morse speak to Mr. I. Westley at Pembrokeshire County Council to find out their plans.

Clr. P. Williams told the council that even though the recycling facility on the airfield had been turned down by the Welsh Assembly, they would still need to keep an eye on future development.

Clr. J. Logan presented a letter to the council from a Mr. and Mrs. Singer, of Carningli, Woods Cross. Mrs Singer, who was disabled, had fallen on the 'dropped kerb' outside the houses at Hillside Terrace. They felt that the position of this dropped kerb was at a dangerous angle for disabled users and parents with pushchairs. The council agreed to write to the cunty council on this matter.

The recent publicity regarding problems with the junction at the top of the village was discussed. Although no letter had been received by the community council, members felt that highlighting this dangerous area could be of benefit, as they had been urging both the county council and the police to survey and improve this junction for the last few years.

Christmas lights were discussed. At present the lighting was in the hands of the Community Association. It was agreed to give a donation to the association in respect of the lights.

The date of the next meeting was set for October 20 in the Church Hall at 8 pm.
