Eight members were present at the February meeting of Templeton Community Council, held in the Church Hall. Under matters arising, Mrs. Gibbs asked if they had heard from Pembrokeshire County Council regarding the road conditions in Tanners Lane. The clerk informed the meeting that Clr. W. Davies had said work would be starting soon.
CORRESPONDENCE
A letter was received from the county council's planning department explaining their decision for passing the application for four dwellings at Margarets Well. Templeton: the site was now within the JUDP; the footpath would remain separate to the driveways; they were happy that the short length of lane would be satisfactory to cope with the extra traffic. A reply was read from Royal Mail regarding the change of locality name in the postal address for Woods Cross. They requested that the change be supported by Pembrokeshire County Council, Cardiff Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Postwatch Cymru (Wales). The clerk was to write to them for support. The County Council wrote with changes to the Rights of Way Improvement Plan. It was agreed to pay the annual subscription of £50 to PALC.
Planning
There were no objections to the following planning applications: Static caravan - residential use - Rosehill Farm, Tanners Lane, Templeton; demolish existing dwelling and construct new dwelling - 1 Rose Cottage, Allensbank, Narberth; renewal of outline planning - land east of Back Lane, Templeton; bungalow - plot adjacent to Bank House, Templeton; removal of existing stables and construction of residential dwelling -land adjacent to Temple Heights, Templeton - passed.
ANY OTHER BUSINESS
Templeton Community Association wished to site new planters in two locations in the village and asked if there were any objections from the community council. Everyone agreed to the proposal. Mr. Logan asked if the clerk would write to the county council to request road signs for the Woods Cross area. Tenders were to be entered in the local press for the grass cutting of the village green. The next meeting will be held in the Church Hall on Thursday, March 17, at 8 pm.
