Templeton Community Council's recent monthly meeting was held on Thursday, April 22. There were no matters arising from the last meeting. The chairman, Mr. J Mathias, signed the minutes as a true record.

A letter was received from Templeton Community Association asking the council if the association could locate a mirror at the entrance to Penygraig Drive to assist entry onto the main road. The council had no objection to this, but felt the association should enquire with Pembrokeshire County Council before they proceed.

A letter was received from a gentleman in Templeton raising concern about the quality of roads and pavements within the parish. The council agreed with the contents of the letter and it was suggested that the clerk write a detailed letter to the county council expressing concerns.

The county council notified the community about the speed limit restriction area being extended at the following locations in the parish: A478 towards Tenby; A4115 towards Cross Hands; West Lane.

The councillors were pleased with these extensions, however Mr. David Gibbs felt that the existing 30mph signs on the A478 road heading towards Narberth should be extended to the top of the hill to allow traffic sufficient distance to slow down before entering the village. It was agreed, the clerk should write with this comment.

Kilgetty/Begelly Community Council asked if the community council would support them in their appeal to reverse the decision made by the county council for the new Co-op Store in Kilgetty. The council stated that they would give their full support.

There were no objections to the following planning permission:

Proposed conversion of cow shed to holiday home at Mounton Farm, Moleston.

New dwelling house at land adjacent to The Paddock, Cold Blow.

Renewal of application at Holly Blue House, Cold Blow.

A bill was received from St. Johns Church for the hire of the hall. It was agreed to pay this

The clerk was asked to enquire about the cost of 'no dogs allowed' signs to erect on the village green entrance.

The next meeting, which will be the AGM, will take place on May 20, at the Church Hall, at 8 pm.
