The plant sale in May was a great success. The weather was kind and there were in excess of 22 stalls, offering a grand selection and variety of plants. The village green looked like a miniature Chelsea on the final day.
At the May coffee morning, there were unexpected visitors. The two Community Police Officers and Sgt. Davies from Narberth Police Station attended in response to the tragic incident that had occurred in the village. They wished to reassure villagers that they were not looking for anyone else in respect of the crime. The officers spent the morning chatting to people and were even overheard helping out with quiz answers! The reassurances were appreciated by all present.
At a recent committee meeting, it was agreed that the association would again donate funds to three charities. The presentations would be made at the summer carnival. It was also agreed to offer to buy children's play equipment for the village green play area. A letter with this offer had been sent to the community council.
The next coffee morning will be on Tuesday, June 21, 10.30 am, in the church hall. The association is also holding an open carnival meeting on the same day at 7.30 pm. This is for anyone interested in helping with the carnival or for any suggestions. Please help make the carnival a fun day for the community.
