Team Dragon Young Engineers Club from Dyffryn Taf School won the South Wales Finals of the F1 in Schools Technology Challenge (11 to 14 age group) held at the National Waterfront Museum in Swansea last week.
The team will now go forward to represent Wales at the National Finals of the F1 Challenge to be held at Autosport International - NEC, Birmingham, on January 10 and 11.
Team Dragon also won the Best Team Identity Award with their 'all new' corporate identity featuring the new Team Dragon logo that was designed by past member Ben Hewens, who is now a graphic designer with Eagle Signs, one of Team Dragon's sponsors.
The polo shirts and aprons were produced in school using equipment and materials generously provided by Jim Nicol, of The Magic Touch, who also sponsors Team Dragon.
