Tenby Tangent recently held an evening of fellowship in support of Ty Hafan Children's Hospice at Heywood Mount Hotel. The invitation was extended to members of Inner Wheel, Ladies Circle, Soroptimists and other guests.
Speaker for the evening was Deborah Griffiths from the first series of the television programme 'Coal House', who fascinated everyone with her experience of living in the 1920s in a two-up two-down cottage in Stack Square without electricity, running water and bathroom facilities.
There was much laughter from her audience throughout the evening, many questions asked and great interest in the Griffiths family book that will be published in Welsh and English early in 2009.
This was a truly memorable and enjoyable evening.
The chairman of Tangent, Val Goodwin, thanks the team of organisers for their admirable input and is pleased to report a cheque for £300 has been sent to Ty Hafan Children's Hospice.
