Although Trefloyne's Dyfed League team received a warm welcome and bacon rolls on arrival from hosts Rosemarket on Saturday, June 29, the hospitality was not extended to the golf course where the visitors found the terrain difficult and the opposition in fine form.

Chris Thompson and Tom Hilling won the only full point, two up, and Carl French and Adam Thomas squeezed a half from their game, but there was no joy for the rest.

Roger Thompson and Nathan Lewis went down 4 and 3, Mike Ansell and Simon Hilling, Ivan Kirk and David Owen, and Chic Brown and Mel Beeley were all trounced 5 and 4, and Gerald John and Barry Thorne lost 3 and 1. Result: Rosemarket 5.5 Trefloyne 1.5.

Trefloyne's next league fixture is away to Cwmrhydneuadd on Saturday, July 20.
