A student at Tenby's Greenhill School has been praised this week for organising a successful talent show.

Yazmin Woods, of Year 11, and the G* members, staged Greenhill's Got Talent at the school in aid of Cancer Research UK last Friday.

The event was Yazmin's idea, she organised the talent, the raffle prizes, sold Cancer Research UK badges and collected cash donations and all the while revising and taking her mock exams!

"Yazmin has shown such dedication these past few months organising the talent for the show, spending her spare time making posters and tickets for the show, selling Cancer Research UK badges and collecting cash donations as well as asking local businesses for prize donations for the raffle and all the while revising and taking her mock exams," said Tenby Cancer Research UK shop manager Clare Davidson.

"Here at Cancer Research we are extremely proud of what she has accomplished and are grateful for the fantastic sum of £550 that was raised as a result of the evening. We all enjoyed the evening very much and Greenhill certainly does have talent."
